Go Live @ e-speed

Significant value can be created by using business processes inherent in an ERP product rather than by customizing them to suit existing business practices.

This can be achieved by applying the essential principles of the Go Live Methodology. These are:

•  Involve users in the functional analysis of the product
•  Empower users
•  Go live early
•  Phase out customizations

To get users to buy into a product, we have to involve them in the functional analysis. Get them to use the product. Experiment with the application functionality and discover ways to make the application work for them. Go Live does this using product walkthroughs and familiarization (sample databases). During the walkthrough, the data driven and parametric nature of the product architecture is explained to the users and they are encouraged to suggest parametric settings that will make the product work for them.

The process of adapting an organization to a best practice is all about getting the organization to use it in a day-to-day working environment. Go Live does this by encouraging users to define a minimal system scope that will enable the organization to go live with the product very early in the implementation. An early Go Live lets users get to grips with the details of the product processes and obtain insights into the product's architecture. These insights lead users to discover ever increasing ways to parameterise the application to fit the organization's business processes.

We achieve it by applying the following principles of Go Live@e-Speed Methodology

•  Get users to "buy into" products
